Vadim Vasilyevich Yelin (1939-2010) was a prominent Siberian artist. After graduating from the Correspondence People's University of Arts in Moscow (1967), he established himself in Krasnoyarsk, where he documented major Soviet industrial projects and created numerous portraits of workers and veterans. His works are held in several significant collections, including the Vladimir Vysotsky Cultural Center-Museum in Taganka and the Modern Art Museum of Krasnoyarsk. Yelin's artistic legacy was celebrated in a 2009 retrospective exhibition in Krasnoyarsk, while his drawings appeared regularly in prominent Soviet publications including "Aurora," "Friendship of Peoples," and "Yenisei."
